Nestled in Ryton-on-Dunsmore near Coventry, the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) Classic Works facility stands as a beacon of British automotive heritage. Spanning over 14,000 square meters, it’s renowned as the largest facility of its kind globally.

Preserving Automotive Legends

Classic Works is dedicated to the meticulous restoration and preservation of Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles that have been out of production for over a decade. The facility boasts 54 individual workshop bays, a dedicated engine shop, and the capacity to house up to 480 vehicles .

One of the highlights of our visit was exploring the Reborn Legends program, where select classic models like the Land Rover Series I and the Jaguar E-type are restored to their original specifications. Each vehicle undergoes a comprehensive 121-point inspection, ensuring authenticity and quality.

A Living Archive

Beyond restorations, Classic Works is home to the Jaguar Land Rover Classic Collection, a curated assembly of over 500 vehicles that chronicle the rich history of both brands. This collection serves as an invaluable reference for restorations and is also showcased at various events and exhibitions.

The facility employs over 80 specialists, many with decades of experience, who combine traditional techniques with modern technology. From hand-rolled body panels to hand-stitched leather interiors, the attention to detail is unparalleled.
